“The future depends on what you do today.”

“The future depends on what you do today.”

“The future depends on what you do today.”

― Mahatma Gandhi

So think about your future every action you make.

Not only your future, it can be everyone’s future.

Each of us has a key to effect this world.

When you do something positive today, it will help creating positive future.

When you do something negative today, it will help creating negative future.

No one wants negative. We all need positive.

But once a while, we make mistakes, we make wrong decision to do something negative.

That’s ok.

We all need to learn to forgive ourselves also.

We all humans, we make mistakes.

Mistakes are ok as long as you learn positive lessons for our positive future.

Then your negative action turn to something positive.

🙂

“Future depends on what you do today”

What good did I do today?

Seems like much… Well, I made my son smile. I made my son feel that he is loved.
I make good meal everyday for my family so my family can be healthy and well, so my son can grow up strong and healthy. I thought about water, so I tried not to waste any water. I recycle everything I know that is recyclable. I meditate for my own peace. I am writing this blog so I can maybe spread little words to people.

and so many more little things.

and these little things will help creating our future.

“The future depends on what you do today.”

Every little things we do everyday is part of our future.

So smile!

Your smile now will help creating our positive future. 🙂

We went to Arches National Park, My son sit under the giant arch, and he learned to appreciate the power and the beauty of our planet Earth. Beauty of our planet touched his heart. He loves nature. That heart will lead him to do something to help save our planet.

This is beautiful cycle of our action.

Little things we do is not LITTLE. It is beginning of BIG. 🙂

Why we need to save water? For what? How it is going to help?

Why we need to save water? For what? How it is going to help?

I would like to introduce you the reason why we need to treasure our clean water and not to waste it. So when you use water at home, think about it, and stop running water while you wash dishes or brush your teeth just because. Run it only when you need it.
It seems like we have so much water on our planet, so people may not understand why we need to “Save” water, what’s the problem with “wasting” it?
Over 97% of the Earth’s water is salty and not drinkable (like ocean water), and of the remaining freshwater (which makes up less than 3%), only a small percentage can be used. About 70% of Earth’s freshwater is held in the icecaps and glaciers of our planet. The rest of the freshwater that remains is mostly underground (groundwater). What all of these numbers add up to is that only about 0.3% of all the water on Earth is usable! This is mostly the water from sources like rivers, streams, and lakes.
The total amount of water on Earth stays pretty constant, and the freshwater that we use is naturally replaced by The Water Cycle. However, it becomes a problem if we’re using water more quickly than it can be replaced, or if we’re polluting our freshwater supplies and making them unusable. So imagine, every household just waste water everyday by just running it for no special reasons. I know, every person, you have idea you do it sometimes. I admit, I do it too and I want to make correction in my life to protect our Earth. DO NOT THINK your clean running water from your facet will last forever because it WON’T.
There are lots of ways you and your family can contribute to saving water.

For example….
*Avoid running the dishwasher or washing machine unless it is full. Just wait until it is full. That’s all.
*Turn off the water while you brush your teeth or in between washing dish and rinse them off. Wet teeth brush or dish sponge, and turn water off. Turn water back on when you rinse your mouth or dishes. Simple!
*Get all of your leaks and drips fixed ASAP. Leak sounds annoying anyway, so why wait? Fix them now. Small drop all night all day, you will be surprise how much water you are wasting.
*If you pour a glass of water and don’t finish it, save the rest for later. It will help you have less glass to wash as well. 😉 The water won’t go bad even if it sits out. Or, pour it out into the plants in your home. Don’t just drain it.
*Don’t run shower for no reasons before you take one. Some people just let shower run forever before they step into it. Just turn shower on just before you step in.

These things, you can do everyday of your life and it is not hard to do!
Just by doing these simple things, you can save A LOT OF WATER. Saving water means saving others, saving this planet, saving our future. Don’t easy look because it is available to us everyday. We want to protect our planet and natural resource that is essential for us to live.

Do something good for our home, Earth. Don’t be selfish!! Let’s support each other, help each other, protect our planet together and build healthy living environment together for our future.

If there is no money in this world…

there will be no hunger, no poverty, a lot less crimes, more peace in the world, we can simply be ourselves, we can focus better to use our individual talent to help people and this world. It will also create healthier environment for our planet.

It seems like almost impossible to create the world with no money or such thing today. People will be lost if money disappear. There will be no business like it exists now. Almost everything we do is based on money. We will not have to do anything we do for work. Whole school system will be changed. (now school is more focusing on educating children to have basic knowledge in our society and to work), There will be no technology war like now. Life may seem inconvenient without money.
But… It still may be better without money for our future.
Money centered human society came too far and it keeps going further and further where today it is hurting not only human community, it is hurting whole planet. Global warming, Animal extinction crisis, serious pollution, radiation problems, producing enormous amount of waste, using up all precious natural resources… and just so much more.

We are straight on our way to destroy this world.

We need to wake up now and take this seriously. I am sad when I talk about this kind of matter, people look at me funny.
Why?

Most of people close their eyes and act like there is no such thing as global warming.

Most of people think animal extinction has nothing to do with them.

Yes, every single person has something to do with animal extinction, global warming, pollution and all that environmental problems. People are too busy working and focusing on money, materials, career and surviving in our human box society. Most of people are too busy working not to spend enough time with and pay full attention to their own children.

Only if every single person can be aware about this global problem that is destroying our planet(our life source, our future) and focus more on to take care of our home(our planet) and our children. Only if everyone can see most important thing is to focus on taking care of children and our home, our environment, this beautiful planet..

I love seeing others posting about our project.

Future Presidents: An Invitation to Parents to Help Their Children Make History

Every now and then a great project comes along that’s so family oriented people can’t help but get involved. One of the country’s leading commercial photographers, Matthew Jordan Smith is leading the way with Future Presidents, a project to capture the goals and aspirations of children from each state in the nation.

The best part of this project is the excitement of the children and hearing their goals and aspirations.-Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) April 17, 2013

If there was a way to help children be part of a history making project, wouldn’t every parent want to know about it? Welcome to Future Presidents, a project that brings Disney’s Zendaya Coleman and President Jimmy Carter together with thousands of families across the United States.

Children across the country are getting involved in the Future Presidents Project. Acclaimed photographer Matthew Jordan Smith is interviewing and photographing kids in each state asking them to weigh in on Presidential issues, and what they would do as President themselves. Their answers are inspiring, humorous and give an interesting perspective on their view of the world.

Scheduled to be released at the end of this year, the book will be an intriguing read and window to the thoughts of the future leaders of our country. The book includes an introduction by Zendaya and an incredibly powerful quote by President Jimmy Carter written exclusively for the book, Future Presidents.

“The kids I’ve met in this project are truly inspiring,” Smith says, “and it’s been humbling to hear the stories of their families and their hopes for America.”

Smith is searching each state for families to photograph for the project. He makes the kids feel like stars, something his career as a photographer includes, having worked with Oprah Winfrey, Michael Jordan, Vanessa Williams and Zendaya, just to name a few. In many of the interviews, he involves parents and grandparents (many of whom are immigrants to the U.S.) who also share their hopes for their children and the country. Smith has just 18 states left to finish, and has a Kickstarter page to help complete the project.

“Americans have been overwhelmingly supportive and I’ve heard so many wonderful stories, I wish I could include many more in the book,” Smith says, “That’s why we’ve created the opportunity for all children to share their stories via the Internet.”

How People Contribute: Parents can simply use a poster board to express their children’s dreams to be President, and photograph them holding the poster. No need to be a professional photographer– a camera phone is adequate (tip: lots of light will make the writing easier to read). Then they need to share the pictures on the project’s Facebook page or on Pinterest using the hashtag #FuturePres/

The accumulated online images will be a powerful testimonial to the growing generation. Each day, Smith will feature the most powerful image as the Facebook cover page.

Ever since he was a twelve year old, Matthew Jordan Smith’s passion has been telling stories with photographs. He is now one of the most sought after commercial photographers in the world. The Future Presidents Project will be his third book, along with Sepia Dreams,: A celebration of Black Achievement Through Word and Images, and Lost and Found (The Microsoft Mission Series.)

Using your creativity to inspire the world

OH WOW!  I always feel that Time fly by so fast.

I need to take every moment of my life as a precious moment. and I can say the same thing to everyone.

We all say “Make every moment count, live life to the fullest!” all the time. You can see it on everyone’s post on Facebook and Twitter… everywhere. But.. how many people actually put it in your life? Not many. Everyone end up being busy forgetting to appreciate every moment. Including myself. ( I cannot lie about that!)

But at least… I have been spending my time working hard on the project to bring something positive to our nation recently. and this project is empowered by Dancing with the Stars, Disney show “Shake it up” teen star, ZENDAYA COLEMAN and PRESIDENT JIMMY CARTER and more!

Yes, we are serious and making this project as big as it can be.

 “Future Presidents”

This is the name of my project that I have been working on for over a year now. It is all about Our Future, Beauty of America, and children from all over America. My partner, my fiance, Matthew Jordan Smith as my leader, we’ve been working on this project to inspire American families and children who holds our future.  It has been a quiet journey!  What is this project about? You can click here to see all about it. We’ve been photographing diversed children from all over America between ages of Unborn baby to 15 years old asking them “What would you do if you were president?”. Each child from different background and shot in different locations.

Children are so pure and beautiful.

I am saying this with all my heart because I myself have a child. I see him grow everyday every step of his life. I see children as the most precious things human being can have. I am not doing this just for common sense, I am working on this project with my personal passion.

Children holds our future.

They are our future work force,

They can be our future presidents!

Yes, it is common to work on this kind of subject at schools. But this is not school work that only stays in school and home. We want to take the faces of children and voices of children to the world. We’ve shot just over 50 children going around 30 states. We have 20 more states to go and more children to photograph. We are doing our best to finish this project asap as our future presidents are waiting for us to take them to the world. 🙂 It has been quiet inspiring to us. We wanted to inspire parents, families and children through this book but we have been inspired by them! and we know they will inspire every person with a heart too.

I would love to share personal and behind the scene stories of this project in my upcoming blogs!

Creativity comes from our heart.

Our heart wanted to do something positive in the world that led us to start this project.

It is nothing like using our own creativity to create something no one have created before.

Now Children whom we’ve photographed has been our motivation to keep going.

and our creative circle will keep going.!

Please visit our project page and support our future presidents and be part of our team!

Presidential Election. Conventions and the future America.

I am not political at all.(it does not mean I do not care about the country). I live in United States but I am an immigrant from Japan.

I am born and raised in Japan and I came to this country when I was 17 years old as an exchange student.

I have been living in this country for over 15 years now.

I love America.

I love Japan, my home.

Right now, there is presidential election war going on toward November. I heard Romney and Obama speaking. And there were so many more amazing speeches by other people as well.

I have no right to vote,  Because I am Japanese citizen.

But I love this country with all my heart. That is why I live here and had my son here. As I am international person, I have much of international view about this country. There are so many things that can be corrected. There are so many great things that no other country in the world have. Every country is the same way. It is just like no person is perfect, no country is perfect. Existence of Ying and Yang. It is the universal law.

I truly wish the best for America.

Equality every way, Harmony, Peace, Happiness, Health, Rights, Great Education, Taxes, health care, and costs that make senses to people, Best for the future generations, Special care for the  Environment and the Earth, Good leadership to have great foreign relationship, Equal respect for elderly, young, children, rich, poor, middle class, any races and any nationality, LOVE and CARE  and so much more I cannot write all.

I can tell the same thing to any other countries in the world including my own home, Japan.

Yes, I am a person who wish we can all live in harmony together under the same roof named Earth, as United Nations of Earth.

Most of all, Fundamental part of humanity,  we all should receive equal respect, equal rights, always respect each other and care and love for each other and the Earth that will promote peace and harmony to our lives and the planet. And please, please NO WAR no matter what. War is one of the worst thing we can do as humans. It is simply mass killing event that has no care and love for each other. 100% negative and there is no positive reasons to have war.

I may sound like I am talking about such unreal dream, but I think it is really fundamental part of us.

We all live on this one planet, Earth. We all are connected. Out of billions of planets in the space, We all live together on one planet. and we all call it home. We feel pain in our heart when we see children ding other side of the world. When one major country hit economy crisis, rest of the world will be effected. We all depend on each other some way and we all support each other many ways.

I simply care about the Earth and people.  and I want all of us to be happy and have a great environment so we can live our lives to the fullest.

I want my son and our future generations to have great lives and I want our beautiful Earth to be healthy forever.
